Pricing Overview

Pricing Models

TrueProxies exposes two purchase models across the product catalog:

ModelHow billing worksBest for
GB-basedPay for a bandwidth package on a monthly cycle. Tier responses include package size, signup price, renewal price, and derived per-GB pricing.Variable workloads, testing, bursty jobs, and teams that want quota-based spend control.
UnlimitedPay for reserved throughput and duration. Tier responses include speed, duration, and price.Stable throughput, fixed-duration campaigns, and workloads where capacity matters more than total bytes.

Both models are selected from the same product catalog. You choose a product, then a pricing tier inside that product from the dashboard.

Choosing a Plan

Start with these questions:

  • Do you need a fixed throughput target? Choose Unlimited.
  • Do you want to cap spend by package size? Choose GB-based.
  • Do you need short, fixed windows such as hourly, daily, weekly, or 30-day access? Choose Unlimited.
  • Do you want monthly quota management with upgrade and auto-recharge options? Choose GB-based.

When evaluating a tier, check these fields in the dashboard catalog:

  • price_cents: the upfront price for the selected tier
  • renewal_price_cents: what the next renewal will use if the tier has promo pricing
  • data_cap_bytes or speed_mbps: whether the tier is quota-based or throughput-based
  • duration / duration_hours: how long Unlimited access lasts
  • overage_policy and overage_cost_per_gb_cents: quota behavior returned on plan payloads
  • badge, is_popular, discount_percent, and promo_active: merchandising and promotional signals

Purchase Flow

TrueProxies supports three purchase paths:

  1. Saved card: charges immediately and activates the plan right away.
  2. Stripe Checkout: creates a pending invoice, redirects to Stripe, and activates the subscription after payment confirmation.
  3. Crypto: creates a pending invoice and a Cryptomus payment, then activates after payment confirmation.

Plan changes follow the same dashboard billing flow:

  • Upgrade: higher-priced changes can create an immediate prorated charge.
  • Downgrade: lower-priced changes are scheduled for the end of the current billing period.
  • Auto-renew: enabled by default for card and Stripe Checkout purchases unless the client explicitly overrides it.

Volume Discounts

Promotions and merchandising live at the pricing-tier level. Tier details can include:

  • original_price_cents
  • discount_percent
  • promo_starts_at
  • promo_ends_at
  • promo_active

If a discounted tier is active, the dashboard shows the lower signup price directly while still surfacing the original price metadata for comparison.
